Lucas Leiva Officially Moving from Liverpool to Lazio

Liverpool officially release Lucas Leiva to Lazio, Tuesday (18/07/2017). The Brazilian will join his former teammate at Liverpool, Luis Alberto.

Lazio only need to spend 5.7 million euros, or about Rp 87.5 billion to get Lucas’s signature.

The Italian capital club projected Lucas to fill the midfield positions left by Lucas Biglia. Previously, Biglia has decided to move to AC Milan.

This certainty makes Lucas end a 10-year career trip with Liverpool. During that time, this Brazilian midfielder has played 346 matches.

He immediately gave a farewell to the management and supporters of the Reds – the nickname of Liverpool.

“Fan is a big part of the club, maybe the most important, thank you for all the support, especially in difficult times because it means so much,” Lucas told Liverpool’s official website.

“We all know that Liverpool fans are very special, I will always see and support Liverpool and will certainly come back to visit my friends and watch their games,” he said.

Liverpool has also delivered a farewell greeting via its official website. The club nicknamed The Reds to thank for Lucas’s contribution over the years and wish him the best with his new club.
