Allegri Not Satisfied with Juventus Performance in Preseason
Juventus architect, Massimiliano Allegri, assess his team still have to clean up before Serie A 2017/2018 season begins. Allegri sees physical condition and defense sector should be improved.
An ambitious return to the title in the 2017-2018 season, the management of Juve spent up to 84.5 million euros ($ 1.3 trillion) to bring in five new players in the summer transfer window this year.
The five players are positioned as goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and attacker. New names coming to Allianz Stadium are Rodrigo Bentancur from Boca Juniors, Douglas Costa from Bayern Munchen, Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal, Mattia De Sciglio from AC Milan, and Federico Bernardeschi from Fiorentina.
The presence of anyar recruits still have no positive impact on the performance of Juventus. Of the three pre-season matches that have been undertaken, Juve won one victory, one draw, and one defeat.
“Overall things went well, we worked well, I’m very happy with how the players are undergoing training and perform there,” said Allegri.
“What should we improve? Physical condition, after that, we have to be better in terms of survival,” he continued.
In the next match, Juventus will face Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly match at Wembley Stadium, August 5, 2017. After that, Lazio met the Italian Supercoppa Cup party at Stadio Olimpico, August 13, 2017.
